Wesdorp/Yake Wedding – What an amazing gift

To honor the marriage of Andy Wesdorp and Courtney Yake on October 25 you are invited to make a donation to Church Community Services.  (See their story below)

Courtney and I are a very easy match for each other.  It happened by chance that we got together for our first date, and quickly realized it was our last-first date.  We have been blessed with the time and opportunities to develop our personalities before enriching our lives through marriage.  During our life experiences, we have individually and now together become deeply involved in our community and realize that all people do not have equal opportunities.  Elkhart is an industrial town with an up-and-down employment rate.  This leads to the need for food pantries with fluctuating inventories because of usage by many people.  Many are unemployed, some are employed but needing help, all having to rely upon others to make ends meet.

We know that Church Community Services needs to ration the amount of food allowed per customer per week through its food pantry, but also works with people and families to maintain security with their housing and utilities.  This is something that Courtney and I just kind of happened upon, and it quickly became evident that this is a great mission to which we could contribute.  Because of this, and because of our overwhelming feeling of love, support, and generosity from family and friends, we feel humbled.  We invite you to contribute to Church Community Services instead of buying gifts for us.   We know that we won’t change the world, but it’s our hope to make a dent.  Thank you for donating, caring, and “denting”.
