Volunteer in the Spotlight: Bob Smith

Bob Smith is a retired worker of the RV industry after 43 years.  He has 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.  He has been married 49 years.

He wanted to get involved helping others and was able to get connected with CCS through Trinity United Methodist Church.  This is his third year volunteering at CCS in the food pantry and he has really enjoying giving back and getting to know the people that he works with.

A couple things that have really struck Bob are the people that come into the pantry with a smile and the people that say “Thank You” and “God Bless”.

His perception of those in need hasn’t evolved since he started working at CCS.   People that come through the pantry are hard working people that have fallen on hard times, time and time again. And there are always new folks that are coming in.

Bob, we appreciate your volunteer heart!
