Thankful Thursday 4/25/13

  • We thank all those who woke up early and joined us at the Lerner on Tuesday. We were blessed to receive words of encouragement, many new supporters, as well as some extremely helpful donations.
  • Thankful for a delicious Tuesday afternoon, made possible by Texas Roadhouse who generously donated boxes of their rolls and butter to help get the staff through a long day!
  • Thanks to the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce for providing a ribbon cutting this morning to celebrate us opening as the Food Bank of Elkhart County.

  • Special thanks to Bryan Snyder from Lilly’s Party, Inc. here in Elkhart for providing “Mr. Smiles” as a reminder that we celebrate the opening of the Food Bank as a way of joining other local pantries in our fight on poverty. It truly was a joyful time.

  • Incredibly thankful for our co-worker’s news this afternoon- doctor says she is in remission!
  • Thankful for all of the teams and volunteers that are getting involved with the 2013 Amazing Elkhart Race on May 18.  There are still plenty of ways for everyone to get involved!
