This is what the arrival of the second round of potatoes looked like. At first it seemed like a pretty daunting task to sort that many potatoes, but thanks to a variety of volunteers, we’re nearly done! We’ll finish the potato project on Saturday!
Here come the butternuts! At the end of last week, volunteers harvested a whole bunch of butternut squash from the Heart’s Desire garden. As we made it available at the pantry, several clients were overheard exclaiming that this was their favorite kind of squash!
The gardens are starting to wind down, so garden cleanup is happening. Here, volunteers are picking up drip line, plastic mulch, and tomato stakes in the Goshen garden.
